I will not lie and say that I don't use the internet but, I am definitely not as attached as these kids are now. College was the main time in my life that if the internet was down for some reason, I got upset and was affected by it.
These kids feel lost and completely disconnected without their computer or cell phone. It is very scary. I grew up fifteen years of my life without a cell phone and not really caring about being online. I just feel that some of the younger children should be monitored before things get out of control.

As for Obamas Campaign's use of social networking tolls, they have matured over time and more Americans are comfortable with them. The fact that it is possible to see how many people are voting or how many people are undecided in your own neighborhood is insane. I almost feel like it is an invasion of privacy. Since voting is your right, I do believe in doing so, but it is wrong to enforce the issue online with no privacy.

Lastly, I must speak about second life. I whole-heartedly disagree with any type of "fake-life" astmosphere that anybody can sign into. Gaming has already shown to be a problem in the country and now there is a game where children, disabled people, adults, teens can all pretend to be something that they are not. Doesn't this just seem weird. My real problem with it is the fact that there is a large problem with the development of peoples social skills; I think that this is helping to continue antisocial behavior in real life because now there is no need to be social other than on the game.
